ProofCap is a forensic financial verification platform for SaaS acquisitions. We cross-reference live billing data against independent traffic signals so due diligence is based on evidence, not screenshots.

Founder & CEO, ProofCap
Software engineer and entrepreneur with a Bachelor's in Economics and Management. After building SaaS platforms, robotics education programs, and large-scale data extraction systems, he became increasingly interested in separating genuine business performance from manufactured metrics. Today he builds analytical tools and writes about financial and growth forensics — helping investors, founders, and operators evaluate companies using evidence rather than narratives.
Why I built this
I've spent years building SaaS products, working with Stripe data, analytics dashboards, customer databases, and large-scale data pipelines. One thing became increasingly obvious: when evaluating an online business, almost every important number comes from files, screenshots, or exports prepared by the seller. Even honest sellers create an unavoidable trust problem—there's rarely an independent way to verify that the data is complete, current, or unmodified.
The deeper I looked into acquisitions and investor due diligence, the more surprising the process became. Buyers routinely inspect CSV exports, Stripe dashboards, Google Analytics reports, and spreadsheets that could have been filtered, edited, or generated days or weeks earlier. Existing tools answer what the numbers are, but very few help answer the more important question: can those numbers be independently trusted?
ProofCap exists to replace trust with verification. By connecting directly to primary data sources through secure, read-only access, it becomes possible to validate revenue, customer activity, and business metrics without relying on manually prepared reports. My goal isn't to catch fraud—it's to give buyers, investors, and founders confidence that the numbers they're discussing reflect reality, not just a presentation.
Why we exist
Every year, SaaS acquisitions close on the basis of a few exported screenshots — an MRR dashboard, a traffic graph, a churn report. These are trivial to manipulate and difficult for a buyer to verify independently within a tight diligence window.
ProofCap was built to close that gap. By connecting directly to a seller's payment processor and Google Analytics property over read-only OAuth, our pipeline cross-checks reported revenue against the traffic and engagement levels needed to plausibly generate it — then produces a single, shareable, timestamped report.
Independent signal, not self-reported numbers
We pull data directly from the source systems — not exports a seller has prepared.
Plausibility, not just accuracy
Our scoring model flags revenue figures that are statistically inconsistent with observed traffic and conversion behavior.
Read-only by design
ProofCap never requests write access, never stores billing credentials, and never modifies the systems it audits.
Transparency
You shouldn't have to take our word for it either. We publish exactly how the scoring model works and how your data is protected.
